Hello Everyone!
Last night, on September 4th, our group took an overnight train ride from Delhi to Chakki Station. The train ride was just about 11 hours. We left around 9 and got to Chakki around 8. We got a sleeper car which was a great experience. In Chakki station, we picked up jeeps and drove about 3 hours up the mountains to Dharamsala- the capital of the Tibetan nation in exile situated at the foot of the Himalayas. At some points, the tires of the jeeps were inches from the edge of a cliff dropping hundreds and hundreds of feet to the valley below! Right now its around 7 o'clock. Today we had a language class and and lectures on culture and safety. There are many westerners here. Lots of monks!! :) Also, many begger's :( Tomorrow our class will be up for a yoga class at 6:45! :/ I'm excited about that. Tonight should be fun to explore Dharamsala and eat great Indian food! Thanks for reading and I'll catch you on the next post.

Just remember, make sure you smell the food before you eat it! Things can be rather spicy. Take care and talk to you later.
